Piano Recital by Stanley Wong "Anachronic Bestiary: Fantasies, Legends & Fairytales"
Stanley Wong 鋼琴獨奏會 《時空錯置的神獸動物圖鑑:奇幻故事、傳說與童話》
Anachronic Bestiary is a cabinet of curiosities intertwining classical architecture with vivid contemporary narratives. An unknown realm of fantasy and wildlife is awakened. You will encounter a Scandinavian goose (Medvedovskaya's "Nils"), the carefree English rabbit (Rudow's "Alice"), and the solemn, century-long solitude of a Galapagos giant tortoise (Cohen’s "Lonesome George"), elevating the bestiary into a profound meditation on ecology, the passage of time, and existential solitude. These are interspersed by Bach’s intricate Fantasia, Brahms’s introspective dreamscape, and Fábregas's shimmering Mirage. All fantasies retreat to the edge of the abyss—where the raging sea and the hounds of myth awaken in Franz Liszt’s epic finale (Ballade No. 2).
